God and Heaven

I have read many many NDEs and visions and dreams of Heaven.  So much so that I would like to start sharing what I have learned with you.  Everything good is in Heaven and so I'll be sharing only good things that I have learned about our Home. Remind yourself of your very favorite memory and know that Heaven will be 1,000 times better than that!

The video to the left is like this for me...we are excited to find that our name is written in the Book of Life when we arrive in Heaven and so we grab our entrance ticket and start off for our adventure...only unlike Bilbo, ours will NEVER end!

PS:  I never thought I'd use this page to discuss my daughter!

“Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven."
Matthew 18:3

08/19/19 - I've not written on this page for a few years I think...at least 3.  Meanwhile my daughter was diagnosed with "curable' cancer and subsequently died a year and a half later.  She has been gone over 6 months now and I thought I'd just share a few thoughts with you.  I found some of her hair today.  She had it cut off before her first chemotherapy appt and her hair had been very long and various shades.  The beautician had given us the two largest pieces that she cut off and I still have them.  I didn't cry.  :-)  No worries, reading this should make you smile at the end.

Little by little I am getting past "seeing" the suffering that my daughter Grace went through, because that's all my husband and I could remember initially.  Since we were the ones taking care of her 24/7 for the longest of time, we saw all she went through.  We do not know the mind of God but I know that it was part of what we were to experience here, as was my daughter.  It was her life after all, not mine.  And now as I look at pictures of her when she was healthy, I smile and recall better times and happier faces.  That's what I pray for the Lord to do...remove the sad memories.  We know she is happy now, that's an understatement!

Here is something weird...I'm glad she is not alone in Heaven.  Now I know that is silly but...she had a nice welcoming committee.  Her three grandfathers (my stepdad and real dad and father-in-law) as well as one grandmother, one uncle, and one cousin.  Oh and an aunt that was stillborn.  I just know in my heart that her cousin greeted her and told her he knew the BEST place for pizza!  And off they went!

When I arrive I expect my daughter to take me to the best place for mochas in Heaven! And ice cream too of course.   Plus maybe she will cook for me.  And play her piano and guitar.  Do you know that you can still take lessons in Heaven?

When Grace meets up with her dad again (my hubby), she will tell him there is a mountain range for him to climb with her.  My husband has always wanted to walk the Appalachian Trail or climb Mt Everest. Once we are in Heaven, we are there forEVER so there will be plenty of time for hiking and climbing!   He also loves sports and I  just KNOW there are some awesome sports in Heaven!  Jesus ain't boring and He would be the best athlete of all.  He is already the King of kings and Lord of lords so you know He is above and beyond anyone.  But everything good comes from the Lord so...I believe there will be sports in Heaven only there are no losers.

Lastly I'll share with you one dream I've had of my daughter.  She sang all the time, even composed a song that is still on Youtube. I have a cassette tape of her singing in the bathtub when she was 4 years old...she has been singing ever since in school choirs, churches, groups etc.  But for the last year of her life she could not sing.  Too many health issues.  But a few weeks ago I dreamt she was singing and in the dream I started crying and said to her, "How awesome God is allowing me to hear you sing in my dream."  :-)

My idea of "climbing"  :-)

" Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow." James 1:17

Food - I was wondering about what to write for the very first entry for this page, and the idea of food came to mind.  Food in Heaven. Everything good will be there, ice cream, pizza, cheesecake, steak (yes steak only not from a cow!), strawberries and all kinds of comfort food!  Not only will there be good food, but you can COOK in Heaven.  In fact, if you want to open a bakery or restaurant, those exist in Heaven!  You can bake the old fashioned way if you like or you can just have a pizza appear on your table.

I would like to open a tea shop, and make the tea from hand grown tea plants.  I would like to learn the Japanese tea ceremony because it just sounds lovely!  Everything is simple and in its place, yet there is beauty and an art to placing all the elements.  Maybe someone would want to open a coffee shop next to me and we can give these wonderful drinks to our friends.  There is no payment in Heaven because everything is done out of love...LOVE!  God provides a sort of parallel here on earth for example, when it's your birthday and someone has made a cake for you "out of love".  There is no payback or expectation, they just look for the joy in your face when you see what they have provided.  The same could be said for woodworking or sewing or some other craft.  But since food is the topic...imagine all the feasts there will be!  And what could be better than our first dinner at our own Wedding Feast and the guests that will attend!

And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.”  Revelation 19:9
