Part 3 - How to Discern who is Speaking to End Time Messengers

" And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe."

1 Thessalonians 2:13

This is the 3rd video in the series titled How to Discern who is Speaking to End Time Messengers.

After physically researching and communicating with these people that hear from God, I go to Jesus  in prayer.  This is part of my spiritual discernment process .  I pray throughout the day actually, and also each morning when putting on the Belt of Truth.   He is our Father and He does not want us fooled by the enemy.  I believe this…and so I ask Him to show me His Truth.

Along with prayer, I believe in the first part of verse 28 in Acts 15 which reads, “  It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements…”  For me…this is not a gut feeling, it is a KNOWING that something is right or wrong.  You know what I’m talking about…you get these feelings on all kinds of matters throughout the day.  I get the same feeling with people at times.  I told my husband once that I had a bad feeling about a preacher…later on we found out he was embezzling from our church.  After this happened, another time I had a feeling about one of my husband’s co-workers so I told my husband.  He warily watched him after that, and later this guy was fired for stealing power tools.  This discernment thing comes in handy.  It’s not my gut that tells me, it’s the Holy Spirit.  And it’s a strong feeling, so when He points me in this direction, I ask God for further clarification.   Know that this is the same Holy Spirit that resides in ALL of us, and He wants us to know what is from Him and what is not.  Whatever is not from God, is from the enemy, and we have no reason to read further into the enemy’s business at this time.  Are we not to stay hidden?  Things are different now.  If you spot the enemy’s actions, pray and stay close to Christ by laying any burden at His feet.  When I read words that are not from Christ, I do not go after that messenger and try to expose who they are listening to.  I just stay away from anything that person promotes.

I heard back from a friend after she had listened to a previous video in this series.  She said that some words cause fear in her but she wanted to understand how that is different than a gut feeling.  She made me realize that I may have miscommunicated one of my points about gut feelings.  They same women have certain instincts about things..."trust your instincts" is another phrase I hear.  I would say if you hear something that causes you fear, and that same messenger has other words that cause fear, then by all means pay attention to that.  It's when people do not go to God with their questions whether they believe someone is or is not hearing from God, that is the problem.  God tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."  So even the fear you experience is not from God, the fear OF God is the beginning of wisdom.  That is found in Proverbs 1:7.  I don't think it is a coincidence that in both these books, it is in chapter 1 and verse 7 that we found out these things about fear!

There are times when it is difficult to know who someone is hearing from.  Again know this is not about the messenger for me…it is about WHO they are hearing from. When I hear or read something that seems off…that’s a red flag to me.  Granted, some things are obvious, such as dousing demons with water.  Hello…red flag!  Other things are when the message includes the person’s name being mentioned repeatedly…just a red flag but if it happens frequently, then again that’s someone not to pay attention to.  I don’t know if that’s a seducing spirit or what..but it’s not Jesus.  Another flag is specific directions from Jesus.   After three of these flags, I no longer post anything or READ anything from this person.

Let me elaborate on specific instructions.  I have read many many general directions and instructions from God. But the one thing I hear most of all that is genuine is that God will instruct all of us individually when the darkness hits.  This whole…make sure you have candles…clothing, water for 3 days etc.  First of all, the Bride won’t need any of that, not even candles.  It will be like during the 9th plague when the Hebrews had light in their homes, but the Egyptians did not.  Nothing penetrated this darkness, only God can and will.  Believe that…not some spirit that tells you to stock specifically for these three days.  Now…let me clarify something here.  God DOES give specific directions individually.  Every one of the Bride is a part of the body of Christ and God has a different purpose for each one.  So He will direct you as needed.  But to read a public “WORD” from Jesus about how the entire Bride  needs to do several things in order to comply with His wishes during that time, does not seem legitimate to me.  Telling us to close our curtains IS SOUND advice from God, and an instruction direction we need to follow. Bonnie gave us this. But in her Messages, Jesus goes no further than that, unless it is individually.  Get my point here?  Here is my theory.  If God is truly giving a messenger very specific and detailed instructions over and over for the Bride, then the Bride does not need to go to God on her own does she?  She pays more attention to the messenger.  And that is not what God wants.  The more we go to Him, the better we start hearing from Him ourselves and allow Him to direct us.  The Holy Spirit will guide you into what you need to do because everyone is different.

How many types of messengers are out there?  I have found there to be 3.  One who hears from God.  One who hears from the enemy and knows it…this is a false prophet.  The last messenger is the one that hears from the enemy and does NOT know it.  It’s this last one that is bothersome because if you do not discern the message, then you assume they are hearing from God.  I do not classify this person as a false prophet because they truly do not know they are being deceived.   They are excited and happy because they hear so clearly…and they feel they must be hearing from the true God because of that…right?  Not necessarily.  I believe they have small areas of doubt that creep in and indeed I have seen it in those people at times…with the questions they are asking in these public messages.  However, if they don’t take appropriate steps and look further into it, then they might find they are hearing from the enemy and their pride would take a beating.  I don’t want to delve further into these messengers but just know that most people that are hearing from the enemy, don’t know it.  The Bible tells us how to identify a False Prophet in Deuteronomy 18:20, “But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.”  One definition of PRESUME IS - suppose that something is the case on the basis of probability. So this person is guessing as to what they believe God is saying to them.

Another description of a false prophet is found in Jeremiah 23:16-17 “Thus says the LORD of hosts, "Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are prophesying to you. They are leading you into futility; They speak a vision of their own imagination, Not from the mouth of the LORD. 17"They keep saying to those who despise Me, 'The LORD has said, "You will have peace "'; And as for everyone who walks in the stubbornness of his own heart, They say, 'Calamity will not come upon you.'

These messengers are telling us things that go against other messengers.  So IMO this is a false prophet…one who knowingly continues to say they are hearing from God, even though that message is different from others.  All messages should be confirmed BY the messenger before being given.  I know several whom I trust, that fast and pray on their public messages before they give them.  They are speaking for God so they need to go to Him constantly and keep their lives as holy as possible.  Of the messengers that I know are genuinely hearing from God, they strive to lead these holy lives.  We cannot know everything about them but only God does.  But the people that I post, have not had questionable words off and on.  It’s a rough responsibility but if God tells you to do something, you must do it! Messengers just need to make sure it is God that is telling them this.  If you have questions about it, ask the messengers but more importantly go to God.  I cannot say it enough that He will show you the truth.  He knows who He is talking to right?  You are His child right?  He does not want you to be deceived.  So simply ask Him with a humble heart, then allow Him to show you in His timing.

"My message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,  so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God."
